How it Works
What It's About
This 5-Day Journey will take you through the basics of becoming more self-aware. Based on principles of psychology and habit formation, it is grounded in Christian principles of self-understanding and reflection. It gives you tools and a framework that is practical, and rooted in understanding yourself for the sake of more genuine connections with the people around you. It's just real-life wisdom to make your conversations easier and your relationships more meaningful - all because you "get yourself" better. It will require some work. Yes. Because that's how you grow and change anything.
Think about it – what if those hectic conversations at work or home became smoother, more efficient, and left you with time to spare? What if understanding yourself better meant you could cut through the noise and get straight to the heart of the matter? It's not about adding to your plate; it's about making every interaction count. So, if you're buried in responsibilities and wondering how this fits in, consider it a shortcut to efficiency – a small five-day investment that pays dividends in the busy days ahead.
Here's the raw truth: self-awareness is the quiet powerhouse, the secret weapon for unlocking effective communication. It's not about wandering into the abstract; it's about understanding why you react the way you do, and being more tuned in to why others react the way they do.
It's the first step, the foundation, for fine-tuning your unique communication style, and forging authentic connections.
Not sure.... because it might be too.... [fill in the blank]?
So, if you've got that skeptical eyebrow raised, I hear you. Let's ditch the fluff and get real about making your conversations count and your relationships genuinely meaningful.
This isn't about wandering through the clouds; it's about getting real with yourself so you can get real with others.
About Me
I designed, researched and brainstormed this workbook with all the benefits of my experience as an educator and content designer. I wove in my expertise in the areas of Psyschology, Leadership, Coaching and Theology, and just basic life experience and hopefully some wisdom that comes with time and experience..
I laboured over this workbook because I want this to make a difference. It wasn't my first idea of how to approach the issues of navigating the tough talks. This idea is probably about round 10, as I went in circles, trying to decide what would help most, for a quick simple win.
There's more coming - but this is the start, and it's where we need to start, to get better at having those conversations that can so easily go sideways. I hope you agree that this journey of self-awareness is a good place to start. And I'd love to hear if you don't, of if you have suggestions for how to make it better.
